QUALIFICATIONS

6.2.1  To be eligible to play in a finals match, a player must have participated on at least six (6) match days with the same Club in that grade or lower during the season.

6.2.2  A player shall be eligible to play in a lower grade finals match provided that the lower grade team is the next lowest within his Club structure to the grade for which he is eligible, and the higher grade team for which the player is eligible is still playing finals.
Such player, having played in a finals match in any grade a player cannot play in a further finals match in any lower grade unless that player is eligible under By-Law 6.2.1.
Notwithstanding By-Law 6.2.2, a player, having played in a finals match in any grade shall not be eligible to play in a further finals match in any lower grade if the team for which he played is defeated.
This By-Law shall not apply to a player who is eligible under By-Law 6.2.1 to play in a lower grade.

It should be noted that the above By-Laws are the only rules relating to player qualifications for finals matches. It is irrelevant how many runs the player has scored or wickets he has taken, or where he has played in the last 3 matches - he must have participated on at least 6 match days with the same Club in that grade or lower to play in a finals match.

Also, any approval a player has been given by the Match Committee to play in a lower grade in the last 3 qualifying matches does not carry over into finals matches.

There will be two Association umpires officiating in all final matches, when available.

The Association will meet the cost of the umpires fee for the Grand Final on both Saturday and Sunday.

HOME TEAMS

Scores must be phoned to 9275 0533 by 6.45 p.m. both days.

MATCH RESULT

If a first innings decision has not been reached or the scores are tied on the first innings, the team finishing in the higher position at the completion of the qualifying matches shall be declared the winner.

MATCH FORMS

Score Sheets and Captains' Assessment of Umpires Forms must be keyed into My Cricket by 6.00 p.m. Tuesday after the match, as usual.

HOME GROUNDS
